The latest addition to Free Slots For Fun is Mermaid Queen, an older RTG game that I used to love back when I was able to play their games. Although you have to get the triggers on reels 1+3+5 to get the feature, this happens more regularly than you'd expect and the free spins can be very rewarding.

The trigger also acts as a wild symbol so that does mean it is impossible to get 5 wilds on Mermaid Queen however there is a good top-pay symbol (the chap with the trident). Another nice feature of this slot is that you can win extra spins for the Oyster shell scatters appearing in the bonus feature.

In terms of volatility, Mermaid Queen isn't as volatile as games like Ronin or the excellent Aztecs Treasure slot but is probably comparable to another of the more popular free slots here, Rain Dance (although that one gives you up to 100 free spins with retriggers!).

It's a good game with a fast spin mechanism though and worth the time it can take to load.
